My First Bento!

I decided to start experimenting with bento in hopes of packing healthy food for travel, especially on planes.

Plus, it looks fun.

I'm using Makiko Itoh's book, "Just Bento".

Here's my first try.

Black bean mini-burgers, rice, pepper jack cheese, blanched chard leaves with sesame oil, steamed chard stems with butter, red onion salad and apple chunks.
