SAFF: Southeastern Animal and Fiber Festival

This past weekend, Mitch and I went to Asheville, NC, for a fiber festival. We saw llamas, alpacas, sheep and goats. We met up with friends. We drove on the Blue Ridge Pkwy., saw beautiful scenery, icicles and snow on the ground.

And of course, I bought yarn! Lately, I have become interested in breed-specific yarn. That's what made me decide to go to SAFF this year and I was not disappointed.

I purchased skeins of Shetland, Romney, Montadale and Border Leicester. I also got some worsted merino from Miss Babs to make a sweater and her special skein of fingering weight dyed especially for this event.

Purchased a large basket made by a women's cooperative in Ghana, too.

The last time I went to SAFF was five years ago, so it was nice to return.
