Trip to Deer Isle, Maine

Just returned from visiting Marty and Grace in Maine. We had a great time and Marty and Grace were wonderful hostesses! We had many wonderful conversations, worked on crosswords, had great seafood and Mitch played the ukelele.

Marty gave me the incredible gift of this afghan, knitted by her aunt Ned. My great, great aunt.

I bought this hand dyed yarn in nearby Blue Hill, and plan on designing a shawl using the afghan as inspiration.

I love your blog. It is so wonderful to see Grace and Marty. I wish I could give them both big hugs and enjoy a cup of tea with them. What lovely women. Wish I could go to Maine and do some watercolours!
