Kureyon Coffee Cozy

Completed a felted coffee cozy today. Fits a 16 oz latte cup. Mine came out bigger and had to be felted (no gauge given on the pattern).

Free pattern can be found here: http://mimoknits.typepad.com/knitting/2007/11/post.html

Couple More Yarn Photos

below: 2 days worth of concerted effort on the sweater vest, knitting from the hemline up. Pattern photo of completed project is in yesterday's post. The actual color of this yarn is a deep burgundy.

below: competed crochet scarf, from the Stitch N Bitch crochet book, "Happy Hooker". I did that one on my trip to CA earlier in the month. Good airplane project.

Another Sweater Photo

Still sick but managed to get dressed today! And sunglasses actually make me look normal. After going out for brunch, it was back into pj's for the rest of the day.

Yesterday I cast on for a pullover sweater vest. Photo from the pattern book below. Mine is a burgundy color that my mother chose for me. We were at a 50% off sale at a New Orleans yarn shop and I went bananas. Also bought yarn for a tunic sweater with long sleeves and sock yarn, so I have plenty to knit for the foreseeable future.

Cozy V Neck Pullover Completed

Finally finished my Cozy V Neck Pullover, pattern from "Fitted Knits" by Stefanie Japel. I'm not modeling it because I've been sick for a month, definitely not the time to be taking photos! Finally I'm on the mend, got the right medicines and finished the sweater. You know you're sick when you're too bad off to knit or watch tv.

The sweater top is not baggy when worn.

Snow!

Snow this past Thursday. My Yankee friends will laugh that this amount of snow kept my coworkers from going to work! One of my coworkers got stuck at work for 48 hrs or so because no one came in to take over. HAH!

CA Trip

Here's a few photos from our trip out West to visit my husband's family in Bakersfield, CA.

On the way to Bakersfield, we like to stop at one of my favorite restaurants, Gladstone's in Malibu.

SOCKS!

My friend Bethany, a sock enthusiast, contributed to my delinquency by sending me a wonderful sock yarn that was hand dyed by her boss. Never having knitted a sock in my life, I've taken on the challenge of learning. Since I don't know anything, I've chosen to learn the latest sock technique, knitting two socks at the same time on two sets of circular needles.

Looking good as far as I can tell.

Then I got seduced into buying this fancy schmancy sock bag to carry my work in.

Happy New Year

My dog woke me up at dawn New Year's day. Here's a sunrise photo, since I had to take her outside.

Holiday Photos

The majority of us were sick and spent a lot of time in bed, but at least we were all sick together over Christmas!
