Katrina Mug

Below is the Katrina mug I received in trade for a Sock Monkey Hat I knitted. The Katrina tiki mug was created as a fundraiser for a New Orleanian, Purple Jade, who lost everything in the hurricane. Purple Jade created the design and it was made by Tiki Farm. Limited edition, it is sold out and I was very fortunate to be able to obtain one.

Note the fleur de lis nose with a bone nose ring!

Here is the mug description from Tiki Farm:

The mug is inspired by the Comedy/Tragedy masks aesthetic. It is a 3-tone mug in purple, gold & green which are the official colors of the Mardi Gras. One side of the mug features the Remember frowning face, and the othe side features the Rebuild smiling face. The nose design on the mug is the Fleur de Lis, the official symbol of New Orleans. Also, notice the general contours of the mug… it is shaped like a Hurricane glass.
