Check out this fireplace in the house we're buying (downstairs). Instead of a mantel, it has a huge ceramic tile installation on top of the brick hearth. They are small white tiles, with red ones interspersed. I've never seen anything like it. They also put a gas heater inside the fireplace. Hope to replace with gas logs at some point.

I have lots of ideas - of course!!!! Thanks for keeping our great music in mind. Even the bands on Mardi Gras floats were great to hear. There are a bunch of Brazilians in town playing gigs and teaching too. The Caribbean musicians come in the summer when it's warm. It's really a musical gumbo here. Harry Connick, Jr. and his dad rode in the parade that Jr. started, Orpheus is the krewe's name. They, unlike the blue-blood krewe's are diverse, welcoming all people including out gays. Unheard of when you were a kid. The floats are amazing with lots of fiber optic lighting. Lee-n-NOLA
