Beauty in My Yard

Lest you all think there's nothing but giant, horrifying bugs in my yard, I offer these photos from today. A volunteer tiger lily, another flower I can never remember the name of, and one of the blueberry bushes with today's harvest. Oh it is so tough being a vegetarian!

Beautiful pics, Celeste...I've got an Aunt & Uncle that live in Blue Ridge- is this close by you?

Not really. I'm in the far northeast corner of the state, where NC, SC and GA converge.

Isaiah, that photo of the boy with the skateboard on your blog 'bout gave me a heart attack! LOL Last year when we went to the West Indies (St. Lucia) the road to where we were staying was just like that. It was like a horrible nightmare riding up it in the bus... one of those dreams where your vehicle flips over backward from gravity. Except that hill was real. Ugh! I gotta go think of something else. 8-)

Isn't that 2nd flower a hollyhock? The tiger lilly is beautiful, I love lillies. No wonder you have bears in your neighborhood with a wonderful supply of fresh blueberries, YUM.

Nope, it's not a hollyhock, that one I know. Tall like a hollyhock, though. My grandmother says it's an althea, and used to be common in country yards.
